Hamilton together with The Legal 500 announced today Sweden’s first-ever edition of the GC Powerlist, recognizing the most innovative and instrumental in-house counsels across the country. A launch reception was held on 20 September at Hamilton in Stockholm to announce the selected general counsels. Hamilton is proud to have been chosen as partner for the Swedish launch.
On 20 September, Hamilton hosted the first The Legal 500 GC Powerlist in Sweden’s history, presenting the most influential general counsels (GCs) across the country. Following a substantial selection process, 80 GCs were presented during a reception at Hamilton’s office in Stockholm.
“We are very proud, together with The Legal 500, to launch the first edition of the Swedish GC Powerlist. With its impressive history, the ranking has proved to be an important instrument in acknowledging the general counsels who are driving the legal business of tomorrow. It is a great pleasure for Hamilton to have been part of this exciting work”, said Emma Berglund, Managing Partner at Hamilton.
The GC Powerlist, developed by the leading legal publisher The Legal 500 is a series of publications highlighting the most influential in-house lawyers in the business community. Although it has previously been held among Nordic peers, the reception marked the inaugural edition of the GC Powerlist in Sweden.
“We are delighted to be working with Hamilton as our partner for the inaugural GC Powerlist Sweden, and we are grateful for their sponsorship. We always strive to partner up with high quality firms in each jurisdiction. Hamilton was an obvious choice in this regard”, David Goulthorpe, Managing Director of The Legal 500 commented.
The list was established to highlight excellence and innovation regarding in-house counsels and their fundamental position in driving businesses forward.
“Today’s GCs face unprecedented challenges when it comes to technological innovations and complex regulations of the 21st century. They need to be at the forefront of the prior, and also masters of the latter. The GCs that have been recognized deserve our warmest congratulations”, Emma Berglund added.
